Namhae-gun Expands Equestrian Industry Base... Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 'Namhae-gun Youth Equestrian Team'
Namhye-gun, Gyeongnam Province held the 'Namhye-gun Youth Equestrian Team Inauguration Ceremony' at Treasure Island Equestrian Land to expand the base of equestrian population and revitalize youth equestrian activities.
The inauguration ceremony held on the 24th was attended by about 50 people, including County Governor Jang Chung-nam, County Councilor Kang Dae-cheol, and equestrian team members.
Namhye-gun is promoting the 'Youth Equestrian Team Inauguration Support' project to provide elite equestrian opportunities to elementary and middle school students who want to receive professional equestrian education and to expand the equestrian industry base.
Going forward, the Namhye-gun Youth Equestrian Team plans to participate in various youth equestrian competitions representing Namhye-gun and will also engage in activities to promote Treasure Island Equestrian Land.
Governor Jang said, "We will support more students to cultivate their emotions and improve physical strength through equestrian activities," adding, "We will also actively promote the development and operation of beginner basic programs to revitalize the equestrian center."

Treasure Island Equestrian Land opened in 2019 and currently offers equestrian experiences to about 250 students annually using 14 horses.
