Gyeonggi-do announced on the 26th that it will begin construction in August to widen and pave 1.6km of road in Seondan-dong, Pocheon-si, as part of the Sejong~Pocheon Seondan IC connecting road. This project, costing a total of 21 billion KRW, aims to disperse local traffic volume and provide a more pleasant road environment. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
During the design phase, Gyeonggi-do faced difficulties in coordinating small-scale disaster impact assessments due to the undetermined flood width and flood level of Seoluncheon Stream. However, with continuous cooperation and support from the provincial council, the project was able to proceed.
