Jangseong-gun Accelerates Creation of Digital Town to Support Returning Farmers and Rural Migration

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held a project briefing session and a resident participation group inauguration ceremony for the 'Return-to-Farming and Rural Support Digital Town Development' project at the county office situation room.

According to the county on the 25th, the Return-to-Farming and Rural Support Digital Town Development project will invest 1 billion KRW, including national funds, by March next year to establish ▲ information-sharing SNS (Social Networking Service) ▲ resource-sharing online space ▲ virtual space (metaverse) return-to-farming and rural services.

Jangseong County recently held a project briefing session for the "Digital Town Development for Returning Farmers and Rural Residents Support" and the launch ceremony of the resident participation group at the county office situation room.

The county plans to provide information-sharing SNS services and resource-sharing online spaces to support smooth communication between original residents and returnees to farming, fostering a rural atmosphere of living together.

The virtual space return-to-farming and rural service offers people from other regions interested in returning to farming and rural life the opportunity to experience the county in virtual reality.

At the meeting, following the project briefing, the resident participation group was also inaugurated.

Composed of village representatives and others, the resident participation group facilitates consensus building among residents, encourages participation, and provides opinions on the project.

Regarding the development of the Return-to-Farming and Rural Support Digital Town, if there are projects needed in the village, they can be directly discovered and proposed.

County Governor Kim Han-jong said, “Through the solid promotion of the Return-to-Farming and Rural Support Digital Town Development project, we will create a happy and vibrant rural area and a Jangseong-gun where people want to live.”
