The Masan Fire Station of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, has issued a special warning regarding the increase in fires related to the surge in fan and air conditioner usage due to the summer heat.
According to the fire station on the 25th, a fire broke out on the 24th at an apartment complex located in Wolyeong-dong, Masanhappo-gu, caused by electrical factors related to fan usage, prompting a dispatch.
An increase in the use of electric fans and air conditioners has prompted a warning to be cautious of fire hazards.

The safety guidelines include ▲removing dust and foreign substances before using cooling devices ▲cleaning around power outlets ▲stopping use if the fan motor overheats ▲using dedicated outlets to prevent overload ▲checking for flammable materials around the air conditioner outdoor unit and inspecting wiring damage at connection points ▲maintaining a certain distance between the outdoor unit and the wall during installation.
