Habit Factory Opens 'Signal Care', Insurance Post-Management Service
Fintech startup Habit Factory announced on the 25th that it has launched 'Signal Care' in its application Signal Planner.
Signal Care is a post-management service provided to customers who have purchased insurance through Signal Planner. It features one-on-one management to address the difficulties in receiving after-sales service and the low contract retention rate caused by frequent agent turnover.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's '2022 Insurance Company Sales Channel Business Efficiency' data, the agent retention rate (the percentage of agents still engaged in recruitment activities after one year) is below 50%, causing issues in the industry where customers find it difficult to receive after-sales service and contract retention rates decline due to agent turnover.
Habit Factory has minimized gaps in after-sales service by building a one-click system within the app that connects customers directly to their contract manager when pressing the Signal Care button. Additionally, since Signal Planner uses KakaoTalk, other agents can continue consultations, so there is no need to worry about agent turnover.
Furthermore, by providing guidance on claim documents and compensation coverage, it is expected to prevent situations where insurance payments are not received due to the expiration of the three-year statute of limitations. As of last month, the 'dormant insurance funds' held by insurance companies and the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency due to expiration amount to 757.1 billion KRW.
