Seoul Metro (President Baek Ho) supported the opening ceremony of the Dongja-dong Gosiwon village companion store ‘Ongi Warehouse’ in Yongsan-gu on the 20th by donating daily necessities worth over 20 million won collected from employees.
Under the slogan "Sharing Together! Happy Companionship Seoul Metro!", the company carries out social contribution activities themed around accompanying the vulnerable.
This year, starting with the donation of 27 bags of rice to welfare facilities for the disabled, the support for the Dongja-dong Gosiwon village companion store ‘Ongi Warehouse’ marks the fifth act of sharing by the company.
Additionally, 65 vulnerable children from the local community, on summer vacation, were invited to the Banpo Station Citizen Safety Experience Center on Line 7 to gain subway-related experiences. Through safety and job-oriented experiential events utilizing the company’s infrastructure, such as CPR, VR experience on evacuation procedures during station fires, and train operator experiences, the program aimed to raise safety awareness and provide career exploration opportunities.
The program is held twice, on July 27 and August 3, from 2 PM to 5 PM, featuring a variety of experiential content.
