Yongin City, Survey on the Status of Unregistered Birth Children
Reporting Period Open Until October 31
Yongin Special City in Gyeonggi Province has begun identifying the status of unregistered children at birth.
Yongin City announced on the 24th that it will conduct a resident registration fact-finding survey until November 10.
The city is especially operating a 'Birth Unregistered Children Reporting Period' until October 31 alongside the resident registration fact-finding survey, focusing on child welfare facilities to identify unregistered children.
To this end, the city is operating a ‘Special Support Team for Birth Unregistered Children’ and plans to provide integrated services such as birth registration, emergency welfare, and legal support if unregistered children are identified. A campaign will also be conducted with civic groups and the local community to encourage anonymous and voluntary reporting of unregistered children.
Meanwhile, the resident registration fact-finding survey will be conducted through ‘non-face-to-face digital surveys’ and ‘in-person visits.’ The ‘non-face-to-face digital survey’ method, conducted from the 24th to the 20th of next month, allows respondents to answer fact-finding questions via the ‘Government24 app’ on mobile devices.
In-person visits will be conducted from August 21 to October 10, during which local community leaders and officials from eup, myeon, and dong offices will visit residences directly to verify information.
