Ulsan City Supports Interest on Student Loans for University Students
Current and Leave-of-Absence Students with Self or Direct Ascendant Address in Ulsan
Ulsan City is conducting a project to support the interest payments for university students who have taken out student loans for the first half of this year.
Ulsan City announced that applications for the "2023 First Half University Student Student Loan Interest Support" will be accepted from the 21st until August 25th.
The support targets are university students or students on leave whose registered address of themselves or their direct ascendants is in Ulsan as of the announcement on July 21st.
The support covers the interest accrued during the first half of this year (January to June) on student loans (tuition and living expenses) borrowed from the Korea Student Aid Foundation since 2017.
Applications can be submitted through the Ulsan City website with documents such as a resident registration certificate and university enrollment (or leave of absence) certificate. Existing beneficiaries must also reapply with the required documents to receive support.
The selection results can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website in December. The second half of 2023 project will accept applications at the end of the year and support will be completed in the first half of next year.
