The National Mugunghwa Suwon Festival Opens on the 21st... Event Scaled Down Due to Flood Damage
Gyeonggi Suwon City will hold the '33rd National Mugunghwa Suwon Festival' at Manseok Park in Suwon from July 21 to 22. However, Suwon City decided to scale down this year's event considering flood damage and other factors.
Accordingly, Suwon City has canceled various cultural events including pre-ceremony performances and the opening ceremony. Instead, only exhibition events such as the Mugunghwa photo exhibition, herbarium, potted plants, and bonsai viewing will be held.
A Suwon City official explained, "The decision to operate on a reduced scale was made due to nationwide flood damage."
