US Provides Military Aid Worth 1.65 Trillion Won to Ukraine
The U.S. government will provide an additional $1.3 billion (approximately 1.65 trillion KRW) worth of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine.
On the 19th (local time), the U.S. Department of Defense stated, "This support is intended to build the sustained capabilities of the Ukrainian military to defend Ukrainian territory in the mid-to-long term and to deter Russian aggression."
This announcement comes shortly after the NATO summit held last week in Lithuania, where Western countries reaffirmed their continued support for Ukraine.
The aid package includes four NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems, 152mm artillery shells, optical tracking TOW anti-tank missiles, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and mine-clearing equipment.
