Hapcheon-gun Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for Local Price Safety Management in the First Half of the Year
Received Special Grant of 100 Million KRW as Financial Incentive
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 20th that it was selected as an "Excellent Institution" in the "First Half Local Price Safety Management Performance Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2023, among 243 local governments nationwide, and will receive a special grant of 100 million KRW as a financial incentive.
This evaluation was conducted through quantitative and qualitative assessments of policies aimed at stabilizing local prices, such as local public utility price safety management, support for reasonably priced businesses, and management of personal service fees.
Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, "Price increases are not just an issue for Hapcheon but a nationwide issue. We hope that our efforts to stabilize prices will be of some help to the residents," adding, "In the second half of the year, Hapcheon-gun will make great efforts to stabilize prices and will strive to implement policies that residents can tangibly feel."
