"I'll Transfer the Money Right Away" Lee Hyori Returns to the Advertising Market, Flood of Corporate Love Calls
Companies' Witty Responses on SNS Also Make Headlines

Singer Lee Hyori expressed her desire to "do (commercial) advertisements again," prompting leading companies to eagerly send her love calls. It has been 11 years since she announced in 2012 that she would not appear in commercial advertisements, and the industry seems to be intensifying efforts to 'win over Lee Hyori.'
On the 13th, Lee posted on her SNS, "I want to do advertisements again. For advertisement inquiries, please contact Antenna Music," along with photos from her past days as an advertising model.
Afterwards, companies humorously sent advertisement proposals from their official accounts marked with blue checkmarks. KakaoPay wrote, "Can I transfer the money now?" and LEGO Korea said, "For swelling care, we recommend LEGO acupressure mats."
Ace Bed, which hired actor Park Bo-gum as an advertising model, commented, "Bo-gum was late because he was being cautious," while jeans brand Jeep sent a love call using their brand name, saying, "We want to catch even a Jeep-ragi."
Chicken franchise Norang Tongdak showed such enthusiasm that they even changed their official account name. Saying, "I was late because I went to get channel name confirmation," the account renamed itself to 'Hyori-rang Tongdak' and left a message: "Chicken tastes better when eaten together. You and me and Hyori and Tongdak."
Airline Asiana did not dare to change its name. They wrote, "Since Lee Hyori is Lee Hyori even when spelled backwards, we will remove 'Na' from our company name immediately upon signing a contract with her as an advertising model," but also added, "I was late because I was debating whether to get confirmation or not," indicating they have not yet received approval.
Local governments also joined the competition. Gwangsan District in Gwangju Metropolitan City wrote, "The moment you think it's too late is really too late. But this is Gwangju Metropolitan City's 'Hyori-gu.'"
Singer Jo Kwon parodied this by posting a photo striking the same pose as Lee Hyori, creating another buzz. He wrote, "I want to do advertisements again too. For advertisement inquiries, please contact CUBE Ent," which brought laughter. Lee Hyori responded to the post, saying, "Kwon-ah, let's fight together."

Lee Hyori declared in 2012 that she would not appear in commercial advertisements unless they were campaigns with good causes such as environmental protection. It is also known that she declined an advertisement offer worth 3 billion won during her appearance on JTBC’s ‘Hyori’s Homestay’ in 2017.
