Lotte Mart, Kakao, and S-Oil Sign MOU in IP Sector
On the 17th, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced that it signed a business agreement with Lotte Mart, Kakao, and S-Oil at the recently concluded 'Character Licensing Fair' on the 16th to promote mutual growth among large, medium, and small enterprises in the content IP sector. This collaboration between the public and private sectors aims to support the growth of excellent domestic medium and small content companies and establish a foundation for mutual growth between large corporations and medium and small enterprises. Moving forward, they will jointly plan and discover demand-tailored content utilizing content IP, and support the growth of domestic rookie character designers and medium and small content companies.
A KOCCA official explained, "Through 'IP Licensing Build-up,' we connect partner companies with medium and small content companies and support the production and distribution of collaborative IP content. We also provide know-how and business consulting to strengthen business capabilities." The official added, "We will set up exhibition booths and provide promotional support at events we host, such as the Character Licensing Fair and the Content IP Industry Exhibition, to explore opportunities for business expansion together."

KOCCA expects this agreement to lead to increased recognition and new business channels for medium and small enterprises, and to mutual cooperation and discovery of excellent content for large corporations. They plan to discover various additional projects to promote the growth of the domestic IP licensing industry and revitalize the ecosystem. Cho Hyun-rae, President of KOCCA, stated, "To nurture K-content and open new markets, it is essential to establish an ecosystem that supports production, distribution, and commercialization.
