KT Collaborates with Mongolian Government on National DX Research
Strengthening Digital Control Tower and Fostering New Growth Engines
Advancing Tourism and Agriculture DX, E-Government Services
On the 17th, KT announced that it held the final consulting report meeting on Mongolia's national digital transformation (DX) for key executives of the Mongolian Ministry of Digital Development and Communications (Digital Ministry) at the Mongolian Parliament building in Ulaanbaatar.
KT and the Mongolian government jointly conducted a 10-week study on Mongolia's national-level DX. At this presentation, organized by the Mongolian Digital Ministry, discussions were held on the strategies proposed by KT to the Mongolian government for strengthening the digital control tower role, fostering new growth engines, and advancing priority tasks such as tourism DX, agriculture DX, and e-government service enhancement, along with the expected effects of these initiatives.
Going forward, KT and the Mongolian government agreed to mutually cooperate in promoting tasks such as ▲strengthening the control tower role of the Digital Ministry ▲fostering national new growth engines like tourism DX and agriculture DX ▲advancing e-government services (public DX) and introducing intelligent traffic control (traffic DX) to improve public services and infrastructure. Currently, the Mongolian government is pursuing industrial diversification to restructure its mining-centered industrial framework. In particular, to foster new growth engines through national DX and expand these to other industries, the government legislated the 'Digital National Plan' last year and established the Digital Ministry as the main government department to implement this plan.

Shin Su-jeong, head of KT's Enterprise Division, said, “We support the Mongolian government's efforts to improve the overall national framework based on DX,” and added, “We will strive to support the execution of tasks derived from the consulting on Mongolia's national DX strategy.”
