View original imageDapsimni Film Media Art Center (Dongdaemun Cultural Foundation Chairman and Dongdaemun District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is holding a special exhibition titled ‘Draw, Story, Dapsimni: Drawing Dapsimni through Stories’ to celebrate its 1st anniversary.
This exhibition is an interactive experience where visitors themselves fill the exhibition space with stories from their own neighborhood.
On the 9th at 2 PM, an art experience program linked to the exhibition, ‘Children Artists: Action Painting!’ was held to commemorate the opening of this special exhibition.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun District, personally participated in the art experience program and expressed neighborhood stories through painting together with children.
The exhibition runs until December 31 and participation is free of charge. The existing planned exhibition ‘Meeting Old Dongdaemun’ can still be viewed throughout the center and on the basement first floor.
This special exhibition operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM, excluding closed days, and 15 people per session can register online through the Seoul Public Service Portal.

A representative of Dapsimni Film Media Art Center stated, “We will do our best to make this exhibition a cultural healing space for residents,” and added, “Additionally, the center runs various programs related to film and media such as acting schools and media study clubs, so we hope many district residents will show interest and participate.”
