[Tomorrow's Weather] Heavy Rain Continues on Saturday... 50-100mm per Hour in Chungcheong and Jeolla Regions
On Saturday the 15th, the monsoon rain will continue nationwide.
In the Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, and the inland areas of northern Gyeongbuk, heavy and intense rain of 50 to 100 mm per hour is expected from the night of the 14th to the morning of the 15th. Typically, rainfall exceeding 30 mm per hour is considered a heavy downpour. By the morning of the 15th, some areas in southern Gyeonggi will also experience rain of 30 to 60 mm per hour.
The expected rainfall over the three days from the 14th to the 16th is 100 to 250 mm in the Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, and inland northern Gyeongbuk. Some areas will receive over 400 mm, including southern Chungnam, western Jeonbuk, and over 300 mm in central and southern Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, Jeonnam region (excluding the southern coast), and inland northern Gyeongbuk.
The Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, Gyeongsang region (excluding inland northern Gyeongbuk), southern and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo are expected to receive 30 to 80 mm of rain (with heavier amounts over 150 mm in southern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous southern Gangwon, and Gyeongnam region, over 100 mm in southern Gyeongbuk and mountainous Jeju), while Jeju Island (excluding southern and mountainous areas) will see 5 to 40 mm of rain.
On the afternoon of the 14th, as the water level rose near Hyeonamgyo Bridge by the riverside in Seonhwa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, subgrade roads nearby were submerged, and a citizen was watching the rain falling. The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain warning for the entire Daejeon area at 3 PM that day.

The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of rain.
In the southern coastal areas of Jeonnam, coastal areas of Gyeongnam, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island where strong wind warnings have been issued, instantaneous wind speeds will be very strong, exceeding 20 m/s until the morning (exceeding 25 m/s in mountainous Jeju), so caution is advised for facility management and safety accidents.
Winds will blow at 9 to 16 m/s over the southern Yellow Sea, southern East Sea, southern Sea of Korea, and waters around Jeju Island, with high waves expected. There may also be gusts accompanied by thunder and lightning at sea, so safety precautions are necessary.
