The intensive training involves 1,286 participants (1,123 athletes and 163 coaches) across 46 events including athletics, swimming, and wrestling, conducting high-intensity training to improve performance.
The training locations include event-specific training venues and the provincial sports council gym, where joint training, internal evaluation matches, and endurance training are conducted to enhance team or individual skills.
In particular, based on the analysis of last year’s National Sports Festival results, efforts are focused on addressing weaknesses, and the Jeonbuk Sports Science Center actively supports by integrating a scientific training system.
Additionally, athletes in winter sports are also undergoing summer intensive training until September to prepare for next year’s National Winter Sports Festival.
