Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Yeong-min) announced on the 12th that it received great response by operating the “Mobile People’s Petition Office” together with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to resolve inconveniences in the daily lives of local residents.
The Mobile People’s Petition Office is an on-site civil complaint consultation system where specialized investigators from various fields of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission visit our county to directly consult and receive complaints about inconveniences in residents’ daily lives, and induce resolution of complaints through on-site discussions and mediation.
For the operation of the Mobile People’s Petition Office, a total of 20 people, including specialized investigators from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 18 fields such as ▲administration, culture, education, ▲national defense and veterans affairs, ▲police, ▲finance and taxation, ▲welfare and labor, ▲industry, agriculture, and environment, ▲housing and architecture, ▲urban and water resources, ▲transportation and roads, as well as counselors from cooperating organizations, visited.
Previously, Gohung-gun promoted the operation of the Mobile People’s Petition Office through cooperation with each department and eup/myeon (township) offices, and actively engaged in publicity through associations and organizations related to each department’s work to resolve inconveniences in the daily lives of local residents.
As a result, even before the consultation started at 10 a.m. on the day of operation, the consultation hall was bustling with citizens seeking to resolve inconveniences and grievances in daily life, such as industry, agriculture, environment, daily legal issues, and urban water resources.
On that day, a total of 49 civil complaint consultations were conducted, mainly in the fields of daily legal issues, urban water resources, and industry, agriculture, and environment.
Among the received complaints, 32 cases were immediately resolved or alleviated on-site through consultation and negotiation, 16 cases were provided with solutions through consultation guidance, and 1 case requiring additional review, such as a grievance complaint, was submitted to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
Governor Gong Yeong-min said, “I hope that the Mobile People’s Petition Office has alleviated the inconveniences and grievances of the residents even a little, and I will continue to listen to the voices of the residents.”
