The two, who are the same age, toured an exhibition of Mexican female painter Frida Kahlo held at the Łazienki Museum.
While experiencing a ribbon using Kahlo’s signature colors, First Lady Kim said, "I hope the relationship between Korea and Poland becomes even stronger, like this ribbon tied together as one."
Following this, First Lady Kim and Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda also visited the Water Palace, a representative building in Łazienki Park, and left a message in the guestbook saying, "The beautiful appearance of the Water Palace will remain in my memory for a long time. I hope the friendship and cooperation between Korea and Poland deepen further."
They also met with Polish Scout members at the Belvedere Palace, the state guesthouse. First Lady Kim encouraged the Polish scouts who will participate in the 25th World Scout Jamboree to be held next month in Saemangeum, Korea, and wished for the activation of youth exchanges between the two countries.
She told them, "I hope you continue to pursue your dreams and challenges," and cheered, "Draw your dream." The phrase "Draw your dream" is also the slogan of the 25th World Jamboree. Following the World Jamboree tradition of exchanging games, music, and food from various countries, First Lady Kim and Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda enjoyed the Polish traditional game of ttukgukchigi (뚜껑치기) with the scouts.
The spouses of the two heads of state also had lunch together in the Pompeii Hall of the Belvedere Palace. Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda said, "Although most of Warsaw was destroyed during World War II, the Belvedere Palace was not damaged, which makes it especially meaningful." She added that this place is steeped in Polish history but, above all, to create a meaningful memory for First Lady Kim, who loves Chopin, they prepared lunch in the Pompeii Hall where Chopin performed as a child.
They discussed various topics including expanding exchanges between the two countries, support for Ukraine, charitable activities, Korean dramas, family, and pets.
