Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Presents 7 Major Future Visions Including 'K-Content Production Hub'
Shared at IFEZ Development Advisory Committee Full Meeting

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced seven future visions to leap into a world-class city ahead of its 20th anniversary in October.
On the 13th, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority held a full meeting of the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Development Advisory Committee at the Songdo International City Kyungwonjae Ambassador Incheon, attended by Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Director Kim Jin-yong, and others, presenting these visions.
The seven visions are the New Hong Kong City Project, International Financial City, 4th Industrial Revolution Enterprise City, Global Bio Hub City, Future Smart City, K-Content City, and Tourism & Leisure Hub City.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to create a 4th Industrial Revolution Enterprise City where the '6T'?IT (Information Technology), BT (Biotechnology), ST (Aerospace Technology), and CT (Cultural Technology)?are realized by establishing the 2nd Startup Park.
Additionally, through fostering K-Bio, it aims to build the world's top global bio hub city and has unveiled a blueprint to leap forward as a 'production base for K-Content.'
Leveraging Incheon’s characteristics, including Incheon International Airport and its 168 islands, as well as ongoing projects such as the Inspire Integrated Resort and Songdo Landmark Tower, the plan also includes transforming into a tourism and leisure hub city.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority opened in October 2003 as Korea’s first free economic zone authority and currently accounts for 70% of foreign direct investment (FDI) attracted by all nine free economic zones in the country.
Meanwhile, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Development Advisory Committee consists of 49 members across four divisions: planning and policy, investment attraction, urban development, and culture and tourism. It plays an advisory role in efficiently promoting related projects such as vision and strategy, development, investment attraction, and creating a business and residential environment in the Incheon Free Economic Zone.
