Goheung County-KORAIL Launch Special Travel Package 'Goheung Space Science Train'

Four Themed Special Goheung Space Travel Debut

Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it will launch a special travel package called the ‘Goheung Space Science Train,’ featuring four themes including various space contents and on-site experiences with Nuriho scientists, in collaboration with Korail Tourism Development.

This special travel package was jointly planned by Goheung-gun and Korail Tourism Development to commemorate the successful launch of Nuriho and to revitalize tourism in Goheung during the summer season.

The package includes train fare, connecting vehicle fees, and admission fees to tourist attractions, and is scheduled as a 1-night 2-day trip, operated twice during the summer vacation period on August 12 and 19.

Departing from Seoul Station, participants can enjoy a variety of experiences under four themes, including live broadcasts and space science classes on the train, visits to Naro Space Center & Science Museum, a drone show at Nokdong Port, Palyongsan Hinoki Healing Forest, Goheung Space Astronomy Science Museum, and Goheung Buncheong Cultural Museum.

Additionally, a travel cost support of 50,000 KRW per person is provided, allowing travelers to enjoy a fulfilling trip at a reasonable price starting from 157,000 KRW depending on the travel package and itinerary.

The travel package is sold on a first-come, first-served basis to 200 people per session, and reservations can be made on the Korail Tourism Development website.

A county official stated, “Through this special travel package, we plan to widely promote Goheung’s space-themed tourism resources, attract family-oriented stay-type tourists, and actively publicize the charm of Goheung tourism through aggressive tourism marketing and continuous cooperative projects.”
