Conflict Escalates Over 'Residential Intrusion Controversy'
Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin-sil, reported her maternal grandmother, Jeong [Name Withheld], to the police for trespassing, claiming that "she touched my share of the inheritance." Meanwhile, Choi Hwan-hee, Jun-hee's older brother, defended Jeong, stating that "she fulfilled her parental role," suggesting that the conflict may deepen.
Earlier, Jun-hee reported Jeong to the police around 1 a.m. on the 9th for trespassing. Jeong is accused of visiting Jun-hee's apartment in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 7th and staying there for two days without the owner's consent.

After her passing, it was inherited jointly by siblings Hwan-hee and Jun-hee. Jeong lived in the apartment as the siblings' guardian and custodian until last year, while Jun-hee has lived independently since becoming an adult.
Amid this, Jun-hee also claimed that Jeong embezzled part of her inheritance following the 'trespassing controversy.' On the 11th, Jun-hee told an online media outlet, "The conflict arose because my grandmother touched my share of the (inheritance) property." According to Jun-hee, Jeong withdrew 600 million won without permission from Jun-hee's bank account to pay for Hwan-hee's tuition fees.
Jun-hee added, "The fight wasn't about the money itself, but because the embezzlement broke my trust," and said, "My grandmother used my share of the inheritance to pay my brother's tuition. Besides that, she took small amounts from my account, transferred them to her own account, and then sent that money to my brother's account."
Older Brother Hwan-hee's Side: "Grandmother Did Her Best as a Parent"…Contrasting Views
In response, Hwan-hee's agency, 'Rothschild,' expressed a contrasting view. The company told multiple media outlets, "From what we have observed over the past three years working closely with the artist, the grandmother did her best in fulfilling the parental role for Hwan-hee."
They added, "After Hwan-hee became an adult, she disclosed all property details and paid close attention to financial management education. We are only concerned that misunderstandings might arise due to existing news reports."

In an interview with 'The Fact,' Jeong said, "On the 7th, my grandson was going to be away from home for three nights and four days and asked me to take care of the pet cat, so I went to the house. I did housework until late at night and prepared side dishes and did laundry until the next day, the 8th, and was resting in the living room."
Jeong explained, "Jun-hee said, 'Grandmother, why are you here? This house is mine and has nothing to do with you, so please leave.' The police told me, 'Even if the grandson, who is the homeowner, asked you to come, if another co-owner of the house does not give permission, it legally counts as trespassing,' and demanded that I leave."
Jeong reportedly refused to comply with the eviction request and was urgently detained at the Banpo Police Station jurisdiction. She waited at the police station for about an hour and was transferred to the Seocho Police Station around 1 a.m. on the 9th, where she gave a suspect statement and was released around 6 a.m.
