Ulsan Ulju-gun Imposes 40.8 Billion KRW in Regular Property Tax for July
Ulsan Metropolitan City, Ulju-gun has imposed and notified 40.794 billion KRW in property tax for 104,257 cases in the regular July billing this year.
This property tax is levied on owners of houses, buildings, ships, and aircraft as of the tax date on June 1. For housing property tax, amounts of 200,000 KRW or less are billed in a lump sum this month, while amounts exceeding 200,000 KRW are billed in two installments this month and in September.
This year, to ease the property tax burden for single-homeowners, the fair market value ratio for housing property tax is reduced by up to 43%. For houses with a standard market value of 300 million KRW or less, 43% applies; for those exceeding 300 million KRW but not exceeding 600 million KRW, 44% applies; and for those exceeding 600 million KRW, the rate remains the same as last year at 45%.
The payment period is from the 16th to the 31st of this month, and payments can be made at all banks nationwide. Payments can be made through various methods such as CD/ATM machines, the internet (WETAX), real-time virtual accounts, and ARS phone services without the need for a tax bill.
