Jung Yura: "It's Not That Cho Kuk Came to His Senses, He Entered the General Election to Use His Child..."
Suspicion Over Jo Guk Family's Degree Return and Lawsuit Withdrawal Purpose

Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil)'s daughter, Jung Yoo-ra, claimed that the recent actions of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk's family have a "political purpose."
On the 10th, Jung shared a screenshot of a news article on her Facebook, reporting that Cho's son recently voluntarily returned his master's degree from Yonsei University Graduate School.
She then stated, "You are now witnessing a father who has thrown away his children's future for the sake of the general election." This implies that Cho used his children to divert negative public opinion ahead of his planned run in the April general election next year.

This internship confirmation letter was issued by Choi Kang-wook, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and then a lawyer at the law firm Cheongmaek. Choi was found guilty of issuing a false internship confirmation (obstruction of business) and was sentenced to eight months in prison with a two-year probation in the first trial in January 2021, and the guilty verdict was upheld in the second trial.
Choi appealed to the Supreme Court in September last year. Yonsei University had not yet made a decision regarding the maintenance of Cho's son's graduate degree, but Cho's son returned the degree.
Earlier, Cho's daughter also announced that she would withdraw lawsuits against the cancellation of her admissions to Korea University and Pusan National University Medical Schools.

Regarding this, Jung said, "He definitely has not come to his senses; he is just gearing up to run in the general election." She added, "He is probably saying, 'If I succeed at home now, you will survive too. If Dad is elected, everything will be framed as a political prosecution's campaign to kill the good Cho Kuk, so just wait a little; becoming a victim is only a matter of time.'"
