After the UK, France Also Provides Missile Support to Ukraine
Providing Stealth Capability Scalp Missile
Following the United Kingdom, France also provided missiles to Ukraine.
According to major foreign media including AFP, French President Emmanuel Macron stated on the 11th (local time) ahead of the NATO summit held in Lithuania, "We have decided to increase the supply of weapons and equipment to Ukraine," adding, "We have decided to provide new missiles so that Ukraine can conduct deep strikes."
Foreign media, citing French military and diplomatic sources, reported that the SCALP cruise missiles had already arrived in Ukraine before President Macron's announcement. The SCALP (known as Storm Shadow in the UK), jointly developed by the UK and France, is typically launched from the air via fighter jets. It features stealth capabilities and has a range exceeding 250 km.
