'Elemental' Surpasses 3.51 Million... Disney·Pixar's 2nd Highest Grossing Film
The movie 'Elemental' has become the second highest-grossing Disney·Pixar animation.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticket sales system as of 1:30 PM on the 11th, 'Elemental' recorded a cumulative audience of 3,518,709. Surpassing 'Coco' (3,513,114), it ranked second in all-time Disney·Pixar audience numbers. The first place is held by 'Inside Out.'
Released on the 14th of last month, 'Elemental' tells the story of Amber, a witty and fiery character, who lives in Element City where the four elements?fire, water, air, and earth?reside. She meets Wade, a cheerful, emotional, and flowing water-like character, and through their special friendship, she discovers new possibilities within herself.
Director Peter Sohn said, "I hope audiences can understand where emotions come from through 'Elemental.' Understanding the starting point of emotions connects us and fosters empathy for each other's feelings."
