Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, visited senior centers designated as heatwave shelters on the 11th to listen to any inconveniences in shelter operation and difficulties experienced by the elderly users.
On this day, Mayor Hong inspected senior centers, which are mainly used by heat-vulnerable elderly people, at the start of the intense heat season, and conveyed guidelines for preventing heatwave damage and precautions for summer health management.

The city conducted on-site inspections of the air conditioning operation status at senior centers operating as heatwave shelters and completed necessary repairs or replacements of air conditioning units.
