Attending NATO Meeting from 10th to 12th, Then Traveling to Poland

President Yoon Suk-yeol arrived in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, on the 10th (local time), beginning a 4-night, 6-day official trip. From the 10th to the 12th, he will attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) meeting, and from the 12th to the 14th, he will make an official state visit to Poland.
President Yoon and his wife, Kim Keon-hee, arrived at Vilnius International Airport in the evening on Air Force One, the presidential aircraft. They greeted the welcoming guests who were waiting on the runway.

This is President Yoon's second time attending NATO. Having chosen NATO as his first overseas trip after taking office, this time he plans to focus on securing practical benefits through sales diplomacy and establishing South Korea's role in the international community.
Starting with a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the 11th, President Yoon is scheduled to hold a series of summit meetings with leaders from more than five countries, including the Netherlands and Norway. South Korea and NATO are expected to adopt documents institutionalizing cooperation in 11 areas, including non-proliferation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, during this summit. Additionally, there will be a dinner hosted by Lithuanian President Gitanas Naus?da for NATO allies and partner countries, as well as the AP4 (South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand) summit. President Yoon will preside over this AP4 summit.
The most anticipated event is the summit meeting between President Yoon and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. This will be their first summit in two months, with key topics expected to include the treatment and ocean discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant and the import of Fukushima seafood.

On the evening of the 12th, President Yoon will move to Warsaw, Poland, his next destination. This visit marks the first time in 14 years that a South Korean president has visited Poland since President Lee Myung-bak in 2009. The visit is a state-level official visit, made at the invitation of Polish President Andrzej Duda.
