Government Provides Additional Military Supplies to Ukraine... Deploys Military Transport Aircraft
The government has urgently dispatched a military transport aircraft carrying military supplies to support Ukraine, which is at war with Russia.
On the 10th, the Ministry of National Defense stated, "Our military has provided humanitarian aid and military supplies to defend Ukraine's freedom," and added, "Under this principle, we have decided to provide additional military supplies considering Ukraine's request, and have dispatched a military transport aircraft to transport the related materials."
Our Air Force's KC-330 'Cygnus' multipurpose aerial refueling transport aircraft took off from Korea the previous day and is reported to have arrived in Poland on the same day. This is understood to be the fourth time Korea has provided military supplies to Ukraine.
From March to June last year, the government supported military supplies worth approximately 4.85 billion won, including food items (combat rations, etc.), general goods (clothing, bulletproof vests, tents, etc.), equipment (gas masks, filters, etc.), and medical equipment (personal first aid kits, antibiotics, etc.) over three separate occasions.
On May 21, President Yoon held a summit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the G7 summit held in Hiroshima, Japan, where they discussed support for non-lethal weapons.
Since then, the government has been conducting practical reviews to select supportable items from the list of non-lethal weapons requested by Ukraine. At that time, Ukraine reportedly requested mine-clearing equipment, emergency evacuation vehicles, armored ambulances, mobile X-ray devices, and air defense radars from the Korean government.

If mine-clearing equipment was supported this time, it is possible that obstacle-clearing tanks (K600) and portable new mine detectors (PRS-20K), currently supplied to the Army, were dispatched.
