On the morning of the 10th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'Hope and Happiness Residents' Meeting' to celebrate the first anniversary of the 8th elected term and to promote the revitalization of senior center operations.
The meeting held at the Korea Racing Authority Yeongdeungpo Branch was attended by about 140 people, including Mayor Choi Ho-kwon, Hwang Mu-seop, President of the Korean Senior Citizens Association Yeongdeungpo Branch, executives, and senior center chairpersons.
Mayor Choi listened to vivid voices from the field regarding plans to revitalize senior center operations from the seniors' perspective and improvements to the use of heat shelters in preparation for the upcoming heatwave.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "Senior centers are comfortable resting places and communication spaces where seniors can enjoy a happy old age," adding, "As a 'filial district mayor,' I will pay more careful attention to senior welfare, including continuous improvements to senior center facilities and substantial operation of senior job programs."
