About 100 million KRW in cash was scattered on a coastal road in Cebu, Philippines.
According to the Philippine private broadcaster ABS-CBN on the 4th (local time), more than 4 million pesos (approximately 94 million KRW) were scattered on a coastal road in southern Cebu that morning. According to local authorities, the money spilled out from the bag of John Mark Barrientos, an employee of a remittance center who was riding a motorcycle at the time.

In a local radio interview, Barrientos explained, "The bag suddenly opened, and more than 4 million pesos in cash spilled out," adding, "I saw the money flying through the side mirror and stopped to pick it up, but other people were also picking up the money." He further stated, "I hope they return the money."
In response, citizens returned about 2 million pesos (approximately 47 million KRW) to him. However, around 1 million pesos (approximately 23.4 million KRW) taken by other drivers or citizens remain unaccounted for.

Local authorities are tracking regional closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify those who took the money. Barrientos added, "I really hope they return the money," and "I do not have the money to pay it all back."
