Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Conducts Joint Inspection of Flood Prevention Facilities
The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office is conducting pre-inspections of flood prevention facilities to respond to heavy rainfall.
On the 6th, the Yeongsangang Office announced that it is carrying out pre-inspections of sewer facilities, including rainwater inlets, to prevent urban flooding.
Director Jang Seong-hwa visited the pre-inspection sites of rainwater inlets in Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Naju, Jeollanam-do, from the 26th to the 29th of last month.
At the site, he emphasized the importance of establishing a constant management system including ▲pre-inspection before heavy rainfall ▲removal of blockages such as fallen leaves ▲preparation for the next heavy rainfall.
He also urged the public to actively report to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Safety Newspaper and local government complaint offices to minimize damage and spread public action guidelines.
