Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Launches Drug Crime Prevention Campaign for Travelers
Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 6th that it conducted a drug prevention campaign targeting about 200 domestic travelers heading to Jeju Island at the Korea Airports Corporation Gwangju Branch (Gwangju Airport) terminal.
The campaign focused on young travelers in their 20s and 30s, providing information on four methods, including not acting as drug couriers using the lure of free travel.
Female travelers waiting to board were given a leaflet titled "If Suspicious, Refuse," produced by the Gwangju Autonomous Police to prevent drug-related sex crimes, along with travel wet wipes.

Ban Gi-su, chief of Gwangsan Police Station, stated, "Various drug crimes are causing serious social problems. We will do our best to eradicate drugs and protect socially vulnerable groups by vigorously promoting the dangers of drugs that threaten individual and public health, preventing drug misuse, and combating illegal drugs."
