View original imageOn the 6th, the Gyeonggi-do Regional Child Protection Agency held a joint 'Child Abuse Prevention Workshop' with Gyeonggi-do at the Suwon Convention Center. The event was conducted under the theme of communication and cooperation to strengthen the child protection system within Gyeonggi-do.
More than 50 participants attended, including child abuse dedicated officials from 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-do and team leaders from 23 child protection agencies. The workshop schedule included ▲ presentations of best practices ▲ meetings by job category ▲ Our Stories (sharing opinions), among others.
Attendees shared intervention processes and actual cases of child abuse in their respective regions and explored directions for regional development. They also shared difficulties faced in the field of child abuse within the same job groups and took time to communicate and encourage each other.
Kim Min-ae, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Regional Child Protection Agency, stated, "Based on last year's joint workshop satisfaction survey, we expect the child protection system in Gyeonggi-do to become more robust through practical discussions at the practitioner level."

The Gyeonggi-do Regional Child Protection Agency performs integrated functions related to responding to child abuse, including training specialized personnel for child abuse response, supporting qualitative improvement of public-private child protection services, establishing a metropolitan-level child protection system, improving systems through policy proposals, and enhancing the quality of advanced psychological services for abused families and child abuse cases.
