Muan County Council and Damyang County Council Draw Attention with Mutual Donations for Hometown Love
Successful Establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System and Promotion of Regional Win-Win Development
The Muan County Council (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) and the Damyang County Council (Chairman Choi Yong-man) in Jeollanam-do jointly made donations on the 5th to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System and promote mutual regional development.

According to the Muan County Council, the donation ceremony was held with the attendance of the chairman of the Damyang County Council, six council members, and about 30 staff members. The two councils held a meeting to explore mutual development plans and made donations to each other's counties to spread awareness of the Hometown Donation System.
A total of 54 participants, including 27 council members and staff from both institutions, donated 2.7 million won each to their respective local governments, expressing their love for their hometowns.
Kim Kyung-hyun, chairman of the Muan County Council, said, "I thank the council members and staff who participated in the Hometown Love Donation System," adding, "I hope that this donation ceremony will serve as an opportunity to further activate the system and that continuous exchange and cooperation between Muan and Damyang will lead to mutual development."
Choi Yong-man, chairman of the Damyang County Council, emphasized, "I am very grateful for the invitation from the Muan County Council," and added, "Although there is some population difference between Muan and Damyang, there is a warm connection between us. I hope this occasion will bring Muan and Damyang closer together."
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won annually to local governments other than their registered residential address.
The donations are used for various welfare projects to support socially vulnerable groups and improve residents' well-being.
