SojinGong, Recruiting First Cohort Students for Content-Based Youth Artisan School
The Small Enterprise and Market Service under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 5th that it has been recruiting young prospective entrepreneurs for the '2023 Content-Based Youth Artisan School' since the 3rd as part of fostering 'entrepreneurial small business owners (Raikon)'.
The Content-Based Youth Artisan School is a project that departs from theory- and online-centered education to discover young prospective entrepreneurs preparing for content-based startups and nurture creative talents who will grow into Raikon through practical startup education focused on hands-on experience and practice.
This year, the Small Enterprise and Market Service is piloting operations in four regions: the metropolitan area, Gangwon region, Honam region, and Jeju region, and plans to expand support for content-based startups next year by refining the curriculum and identifying the needs of trainees.
In the metropolitan area, local content startup items will be discovered focusing on major commercial districts (Hongdae, Itaewon, Seongsu), and apprenticeship-style education will be supported through local creators.
In the Gangwon region, to support startups utilizing Gangwon local cuisine and local food content, education, consulting, insight trips, practice and hackathons, and follow-up connections will be provided for prospective young entrepreneurs.
In the Honam region, a fashion artisan from Chungjang-ro will lead practical startup support education. The process of developing local brands and producing fashion products will be supported by combining the region’s unique resources with creators’ ideas and artisans’ experience and skills.
In the Jeju region, support will be provided for discovering startup items utilizing Jeju’s regional value, and startup know-how will be passed on through local creators in each sector (F&B, experience, space planning).
Anyone under the age of 39 without a business registration certificate who is interested in content-based startups can apply for the education. Detailed information about the application can be found in the notices on the Small Enterprise and Market Service website. Since recruitment and application deadlines vary by region, applicants must check the application period on the website.
