GH Supports 239 Child Housing Poverty Households with Wallpapering and Flooring Assistance
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), together with Gyeonggi Province, is carrying out the 'Child Housing Poverty Household Clean Service Support Project.'
This project supports households with children living in poor housing conditions such as mold growth or lack of heating and cooling by providing cleaning, disinfection and pest control, wallpaper and flooring replacement, and installation of heating and cooling devices.
GH has been implementing this project with Gyeonggi Province since 2021. This year, GH expanded the project throughout the province, increasing the number of target households to 239, five times more than the previous year.
The support targets households with children under 18 years old who live in housing below the minimum residential standard in the province (less than 43㎡ for a family of four) or in basement rooms (or rooftop rooms).
The support includes ▲mold removal and cleaning ▲disinfection and pest control ▲wallpaper and flooring replacement ▲air purifier support ▲heating and cooling device and laundry dryer support ▲storage and organizing services ▲washing machine support.
Gyeonggi Province provides 3 million KRW per household to GH, the entrusted organization for the project, and GH carries out the project by receiving recommendations for a total of 239 households from Gyeonggi Province and each city and county.
GH and Gyeonggi Province plan to actively reflect improvements in management for next year’s project based on satisfaction survey results after the project ends.
