KOSPI Starts Higher, Rises Above 2580... Secondary Battery Stocks Strong
The KOSPI index started higher on the 3rd, rising to the 2580 level.
As of 9:20 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index was trading at 2589.12, up 0.97% (24.84 points) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 2580.89, up 0.65% (16.61 points) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, institutions are leading the rise by purchasing stocks worth 52.9 billion KRW. On the other hand, individuals and foreigners sold stocks worth 48.7 billion KRW and 2.5 billion KRW, respectively.
Among the top 10 KOSPI market cap stocks, most are rising except for Kia (-0.79%). Samsung Electronics (0.83%), LG Energy Solution (1.63%), SK Hynix (2.52%), Samsung Biologics (0.13%), Samsung Electronics Preferred (0.67%), LG Chem (2.10%), Samsung SDI (4.48%), and POSCO Holdings (2.06%) are all up. Hyundai Motor is unchanged (0.00%).
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is up 1.39% (12.03 points) at 880.27. The KOSDAQ opened at 873.91, up 0.65% (5.67 points) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, only individuals are net sellers with 31.7 billion KRW worth of stocks sold, while foreigners and institutions are buying stocks worth 14.4 billion KRW and 16.8 billion KRW, respectively.
