Gyeonggi Office of Education Conducts 'Student Customized Integrated Support' Training for Elementary, Middle, and High School Principals
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will conduct training sessions for principals of elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the province to provide integrated and systematic support for student-tailored educational welfare services.
This training was organized to foster a shared understanding by reflecting on the necessity of student-tailored integrated support and the role of schools. It will be held regionally over four days from the 3rd to the 6th, with a total of eight sessions.
The instructors for the training include Principal Shin Yeon-ok of Banghwa Elementary School in Seoul, Director Kim Ji-hye of the Emotional Welfare Division in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and Teacher Park Sang-chul of Manho Elementary School in Gwangju.
The student-tailored integrated support system restructures educational welfare projects, which were previously provided in a segmented manner to students in need, to enable organic linkage and cooperation. This system integrates educational welfare services tailored to students through collaboration among 'schools - education support offices - local communities.'
The Provincial Office of Education plans to start building the student-tailored integrated support system with 13 leading schools and 3 pilot education support offices, with plans for further expansion.

Kim Young-hoon, Director of the Educational Welfare Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "Although the total number of students is decreasing, the number of students facing complex difficulties is continuously increasing, making it difficult for teachers or schools alone to resolve these challenges. We will support the establishment of a tailored integrated support system by linking all welfare resources from schools, education offices, and local communities."
