[Law Firm Now] Law Firm Beopseung's 'Crime Victim Investigation and Trial Support Team'... "Listening to Victims' Voices"
Since the adjustment of investigative authority between the prosecution and the police, the protection of crime victims by investigative agencies and the courts has weakened, leading to criticisms that social justice is losing its balance. The legal community is also deeply concerned. Some voices angrily claim that the human rights of crime victims are being violated.

Amid this, the law firm Beopseung has been emphasizing the necessity of specialized investigation and trial support services for crime victims. The 'Crime Victim Investigation and Trial Support Team' was recently launched and is currently operating. The support team is composed of experts in investigation, trial, evidence collection, sentencing and administration, foreign affairs, labor, and education, working to restore the rights and dignity of crime victims.
Beopseung recently felt the urgent need for victim support while observing incidents such as the 'Lime Scandal,' the 'SG Securities Scandal,' and 'School Violence by Children of High-ranking Officials,' where many victims experienced relative deprivation. When the belief that criminals will receive appropriate punishment is broken, the mental and physical suffering of victims inevitably increases, and victims have no choice but to fight for recovery on their own. Beopseung judged that if investigative agencies and courts do not protect victims and lawyers only defend criminals, the rule of law will collapse, leading to the launch of the support team and active involvement.
The support team is led by Chief Attorney Lee Seung-woo (Judicial Research and Training Institute Class 37, criminal law specialist), along with Senior Advisor Seo Min, a former police superintendent (Police University Class 1), veteran criminal law attorney Jo Beom-seok (Bar Exam 3rd), who has 13 years of experience as a prosecutor’s investigator, Attorney Ahn Seong-hoon (Bar Exam 2nd), who became an expert in administrative audits after working as an investigator in the Unfair Trade Investigation Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Attorney Park Ji-yeon (Class 37), who holds patent attorney and tax accountant qualifications and has handled numerous lawsuits and consultations related to reconstruction and redevelopment.
Also part of the team are Attorney Jeong Yeon-jae (Bar Exam 10th), knowledgeable in intellectual property rights, Attorney Lee Woo-kyung (Bar Exam 12th), with labor attorney experience, and Attorney Joo Eun-hee (Bar Exam 12th), who worked as a teacher for 10 years. The team plans to recruit additional specialized attorneys in the future.
The support team is leveraging the capabilities of the information office established within Beopseung to facilitate smooth compulsory investigations into cryptocurrency crimes, technology crimes, and financial crimes. By deploying domestic and international experts for evidence collection and forensics, they ensure that investigations by law enforcement agencies into crime damages proceed swiftly, and through trial and settlement procedures, they strive for rapid recovery of damages.
