Ottogi Awards Ham Tae-ho Academic Prize to Shin Han-seung, Professor at Dongguk University
On June 30, Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation announced that it held the 27th Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Academic Award ceremony at the Jeju International Convention Center on the 29th.

At this award ceremony, Professor Shin Han-seung of Dongguk University’s Department of Food Biotechnology was honored for his significant contributions to the development of the food industry. Professor Shin was recognized for his achievements in hazardous substance risk assessment and reduction research, which greatly contributed not only to the academic advancement of food science but also to policy and system improvements in food safety and the development of technologies to enhance food safety. Director Park Ki-moon of the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation attended the ceremony to present the plaque and a prize of 30 million KRW.

Established in 1996, the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation conducts various academic promotion projects and scholarship programs. In 2009, the foundation established the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Academic Award, which is presented annually to professors and researchers related to food science.
