Homeplus announced on the 30th that it has reached a final agreement on the '2023 Wage Agreement' and held a signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony took place on the 29th at Homeplus headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, with the participation of the negotiating representative unions, the Mart Industry Labor Union Homeplus Branch and the Homeplus General Labor Union. Homeplus labor and management agreed to raise wages by 5% for positions from store senior staff to managers, and from headquarters senior staff to full-time positions. For other positions, the increase rate will be applied differentially based on performance. The increased wages will be applied starting from the July payroll, and the retroactive pay from January to June of this year will be paid in a lump sum with the July salary.

As a congratulatory bonus for the successful wage negotiation, all employees will also receive a Homeplus gift certificate worth 100,000 won. Additionally, for the first time in the distribution industry, a separate allowance for specific holidays will be established, and a 50% additional allowance will be paid for work on specific holidays. Starting from March next year, employees who work more than 80% of the annual prescribed working days will be granted 2 additional 'Plus Vacation' days for recharging, and transportation subsidies for night shift workers at stores will also be expanded.
