Gwangju Dong-gu Publishes 'Cooking Recipe Book for Single-Person Households'
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 29th that it has published a "Cooking Recipe Book for Single-Person Households" to address the nutritional imbalance of the rapidly increasing single-person households and to help improve healthy eating habits.
Dong-gu produced the recipe book to share with residents the recipes organized and completed by 15 residents who participated in the "Honstaurant" program, conducted as part of the Gwangju Lifelong Education Promotion Foundation's public project this year, after completing the cooking education course for single-person households since the first half of this year.
This book contains 24 optimized recipes for single-person households, such as stir-fried anchovies with shishito peppers, braised quail eggs, and stir-fried fish cakes with vegetables, all made easily with ingredients commonly found in daily life.
Since Dong-gu (41.6% of all households) has the highest proportion of single-person households among the five autonomous districts of Gwangju, it is expected to contribute to creating a healthy food culture for single-person households whose health is threatened by foods like junk food that lack essential nutrients.
