Yeonggwang-gun Announces Open Recruitment for Future Education Foundation Establishment Preparation Committee Members
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 29th that it will publicly recruit members of the Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the (tentatively named) Yeonggwang-gun Future Education Foundation by the 12th of next month to provide future-oriented educational services and create a unique educational ecosystem in Yeonggwang Bay.
In April, through a consultative body for the establishment of the Future Education Foundation composed of civil, public, and academic sectors, there was an opinion that it is necessary to form a Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Education Foundation, which can involve various local educational stakeholders and concretize the foundation's establishment.
The Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Education Foundation will play a role in expressing opinions through reviewing and proposing the basic plan for the education foundation, conducting feasibility study projects, holding meetings, and public hearings for residents.
The number of recruits is about 10 people, and any resident registered in Yeonggwang-gun who is a parent of a student attending a local school, a worker in an education-related organization, or a citizen who can sincerely work for the development of education in Yeonggwang-gun can apply.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Population Education Policy Division at the county office or via email. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Education Team of the Population Education Policy Division.
Governor Kang Jong-man said, “We will work together with various educational stakeholders to make this education foundation a policy that allows children to be born, grow up, and stay in the region.”
