"Changwon Citizens Should Not Fall Victim to Jeonse Fraud"
Changwon Special City, Regional Preventive Education for Licensed Real Estate Agents
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam recently conducted regional “Jeonse Fraud Prevention Education” sessions for local licensed real estate agents to prevent the serious social issue of Jeonse fraud.
Starting with Uichang-gu on May 9, the education sessions were held in Masanhappo-gu on June 22, Seongsan-gu on June 27, Jinhae-gu on June 28, and concluded in Masanhoewon-gu on June 29.
Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, conducted a lease damage prevention education program for certified real estate agents.
View original imageThe education, attended by approximately 1,600 licensed real estate agents in the jurisdiction, was conducted by former instructor Lee Ki-chan of the Korea Association of Licensed Real Estate Agents. The two-hour session focused on “The Role of Licensed Real Estate Agents in Preventing Jeonse Fraud and Brokerage Accidents.”
Additionally, each branch of the Korea Association of Licensed Real Estate Agents held a Jeonse fraud prevention and move-in promotion supporters’ pledge meeting, pledging to fulfill their social responsibility as a professional qualification organization leading the protection of citizens’ property rights and actively participate in expanding citizen involvement in population policies.

Moon Sang-sik, Director of the Urban Policy Bureau, stated, “To prevent Jeonse fraud, it is most important that licensed real estate agents perform their brokerage duties fairly and faithfully with integrity.” He added, “It is highly meaningful that licensed real estate agents have voluntarily held pledge meetings to prevent Jeonse fraud and engaged in self-purification activities. I hope that the city and members of the Korea Association of Licensed Real Estate Agents will unite in their efforts to foster a healthy real estate market.”
