'Defamation Case Against Whang Ui-jo's Private Life Revelator Transferred to Seoulcheong Cyber Investigation Unit'
The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency will take charge of investigating the author of a post that exposed the private life of soccer player Hwang Ui-jo.
According to the police on the 28th, the defamation case filed by Hwang Ui-jo's legal representative on the 26th at the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, accusing the author of the expos? post of violating the Information and Communications Network Act and making threats, has been transferred to the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
Earlier, on the 25th, posts and videos exposing Hwang Ui-jo's private life were uploaded on social networking services (SNS). Hwang Ui-jo's side stated that the video was material from a mobile phone stolen in Greece last year and denied that it was illegally filmed.
