Gangbuk-gu, Youth Employment and Start-up Support Project ‘Cheongpodo Plus’... A Hot Topic
Second term starts from July 6, offering close counseling for employment promotion, confidence recovery, career exploration, and more
Seoul’s Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is gaining attention for operating the mid- to long-term program ‘Cheongpodo Plus’ to support young people challenging employment and start-ups.
The meaning of Cheongpodo is ‘Gangbuk youth do not give up and challenge employment and start-ups.’ The first term recruited 50 participants and has been running at the Youth Start-up Maru since the 14th.
This youth challenge project aims to discover young people who have given up on job seeking and support employment promotion. Gangbuk-gu was selected in this year’s Ministry of Employment and Labor contest and is currently implementing the program.
Starting with an orientation on the day, close counseling, social dining, and case management programs were conducted. Over the next five months, the program will operate customized programs for participants in areas such as ▲close counseling ▲case management ▲confidence recovery ▲career exploration ▲employment competency enhancement.
Mayor Lee Soon-hee communicated with the youth during the orientation by playing a game matching new slang words and sharing concerns from their youth days.
The second term of Cheongpodo Plus is scheduled to begin on July 6. For recruitment and detailed programs, inquiries can be made through the Youth Start-up Maru website or by phone.
