Hwang Ui-jo Files Lawsuit Over Privacy Leak... "Threatened with Stolen Phone"
National soccer player Hwang Ui-jo, who has been embroiled in a privacy exposure controversy, has filed a complaint with the police.
On the 27th, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul announced that UJ Sports, Hwang Ui-jo's management company, submitted the complaint the day before.
In a statement, UJ Sports said, "We have confirmed that baseless rumors and sexual slanders related to Hwang Ui-jo's private life have been circulated. We are conducting an investigation request and monitoring the distributors who created and spread these unfounded rumors," adding, "All content posted on social networking services (SNS) is false."
Hwang Ui-jo's side explained that the private information was leaked after his phone was stolen. They stated, "Last year, while in Greece, his phone was stolen," and "Direct messages (DMs) threatening to expose his private life were sent to the player's personal SNS account."

On the 25th, a person identified as A, who claimed to be Hwang Ui-jo's ex-girlfriend, alleged through her SNS account that Hwang Ui-jo had relationships with multiple women and engaged in gaslighting. She also posted photos and videos showing Hwang Ui-jo and women.
