Prosecution Summons Jeon Woo-won, Grandson of Jeon Du-hwan, for Drug Charges Two Weeks Ago
The prosecution is understood to have summoned Jeon Woo-won (27), the grandson of former President Jeon Du-hwan, once for questioning on suspicion of drug use.

View original imageAccording to the legal community on the 27th, the Violent Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Shin Jun-ho) summoned Jeon as a suspect for questioning on the 14th. The prosecution reportedly questioned Jeon about the circumstances of purchasing and using drugs.
Jeon is accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act by mentioning and using drugs such as MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine), a psychoactive substance commonly known as "Ecstasy," and DMT (dimethyltryptamine), a hallucinogenic drug, during a YouTube live broadcast in March.

The police arrested Jeon upon his arrival at Incheon International Airport in the same month, investigated him, and considering his admission of the charges, handed him over to the prosecution without detention on April 28. Based on the investigation results, the prosecution is expected to decide on Jeon's judicial processing soon.
