30s Man Sent to Prosecution After Killing Neighbor and Setting Fire
A man in his 30s accused of killing a neighbor over inter-floor water leakage issues in a multi-family house and then setting fire to the property has been handed over to the prosecution.
According to the police on the 27th, the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul sent a man in his 30s, Jeong Mo, who is charged with murder and arson of an occupied building, to the prosecution on the same day.
As Jeong left the police station, he told reporters, "I will accept the crime I committed," adding, "I never planned or intended to do this." He continued, "It happened without me realizing it. I am truly sorry."

Jeong is accused of killing a woman in her 70s, Ms. A, who lived alone on the second floor of a three-story multi-family house in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on the 14th, and then setting fire to the property. At around 9:43 p.m. that day, a fire broke out on the second floor of the house and was extinguished within 20 minutes, but Ms. A was found dead inside the room.
